It's been awhile since we have blogged

Well I know it has been awhile since we have last blogged, particularly since so many of our family and friends are on facebook and myspace, and I find both of their sites easier to post pictures for some odd reason. But anyway, all has been well although Scott has got himself one heck of a cold. Not sure what it is but, it is not going away. I sit here so saddened about a family I do not even know and never heard of until today. A family who were living in Md. were all found dead, 3 kids(two little boys and a 2 ear old little girl) their mom and father. Apparently a murder-suicide carried out by their own father.

Please do not mistake me as I blog this I am not putting judgement on anyone just blogging my heartache and sadness. I know in this economic crisis we are facing that some are being affected alot worse then others, some are truly feeling it, losing their jobs and many recent events families also. This is like the 5 or 6th father that has felt the need to take a entire families life for some reason or other but I will and do not understand. If a adult loses their job why must we take the lives of the innocent????

Why??? As I read her blog on this very site and how she blogged about her family and moving and adjusting, all I could do is cry. I feel for all of her and his family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, etc.... The heart break they must be going through, no one should have deal with such a tragedy but it is happening more and more lately. All of these bad things lately makes me worried about raising my daughter in this scary world. I wish that help could be found for these fathers that feel the need to not only take their lives but the rest of the family with them. Sometimes I feel like I need to shield myself from the news or the Internet since lately it is bad, but I also need to educate myself on what is going on in the world whether it be bad or good. We have all been affected by this change in economy but money should not be the factor in whether we live or die. Awh, I could go on & on. Well I need to go to bed, I have work tomorrow, which I dread, I wish I could be a SAHM but until the economy gets better and we can sell our house, it looks like that is not going to happen. So I wake up and go to a place I hate anymore and have to miss my fussy for 2-3 days a week. Who would have known. But I guess I should feel blessed that we both have jobs today anyway cause you never know what is going to happen tomorrow, we have or beautiful Addison, each other, and great family and friends who love and support us in every way. We are blessed.

Here are some pics of Addison playing on her new 3 in 1 Acitivity Gym, daddy & mommie bought her for her birthday. So far it's a hit she seems to like it, we thought it would be perfect for her in the winter time, & boy does she like the swing.

ok so I hate posting pics on this site. It is not very user friendly and only lets you upload 5 pics at a time. here are just some random pics. I am waiting for people to send me some of the pics they took since we did not get to take very many ourselves. So if you have some we would lovw for you to send them to us thanks. Well I wanted to post Addison's birthday pictures but was pretty sick Wednesday and still am not feeling up to par yet.

Today was officially Addison's 1st birthday, she was born at 325am, 8 lbs 2.3 oz and was 20.75 inches long. I am just so lucky that I have the sweetest, cutest, most amazing daughter in the world. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to share the last year in complete bliss.

She is just starting to grow and blossom full of attitude and starting to really want her independence. Yesterday she wanted nothing to do with us feeding her , she wanted to feed herself or at least try, it was so cute. She also went to town on a cup of ice cream the night before, she was so funny, sticking her face in the cup licking it.

So today although I have not been feeling good we played and she discovered the power button on her new Dora quad she got for her birthday, (thank you mom-mom & pop-pop Pencer). Her face was priceless when that thing took off. She also have been having tons of fun with all of her new toys and gifts that everyone got her. She had a great birthday party. Today she also was funny when she got back-to-back phone calls, the first was Jeffery from Toys r us calling to wish her a happy birthday then sing it to her, her face was so cute, she lit up and started wiggling her little body. I signed her up for the birthday club and didn't even know what it was but then we received a birthday card and coupon then the phone call today, it was too cute.

Second was a phone call from mom-mom & pop-pop Pencer to sing "Happy Birthday" to her today on her birthday since it's a tradition in our family for my mom & dad to call all of us on our birthday's and sing happy birthday to us. My grandparents started it and my mom & dad have carried on the tradition and now Addison has had her 1st of many.

Thank you MiMi Ringer for all you help this past weekend, we appreciated it very much and also thank you aunt Mickey for the beautiful cake and cupcakes you decorated. Also , thanks to Aunt Faye and Uncle Todd, grandpa Joe, uncle Joe, grandpa Jim and Wendy for coming down and visiting all of us, hope you had a good time.

She was standing up holding on to our ottoman wiggling her little butt dancing as they sang.

Words cannot express they joy she has brought to our lives and we are just blessed and grateful for the opportunity to be her parents. Thanks to all that came and shared this special day and milestone with us.
